Lock 72 is the closest you can get to scenic views of the Canal without actually being there. Between the tableside screens displaying images of foliage and wildlife found on the Potomac River to the White Pine Tree that makes up our host stand and the bench in the atrium. The Tavern is unique in that it gives you the feel of being outdoors in the summer and in a cozy lodge during the winter. The only thing warmer than the atmosphere is the staff within the Tavern, who make you feel right at home.
Lock 72, with its many layers, can accommodate any type of occasion from birthday parties, a casual gathering of girlfriends, to a professional business luncheon. Our Canal room comfortably seats 35 or can provide standing room for 60. Second only to the food being served is the view offered, courtesy of floor to ceiling windows overlooking our courtyard.
